Remember when we went to Montreal? The people at Drawn and Quarterly were so nice an helpful. They made us a list of the best poutines in the city. The store was pretty great too. Like a little slice of San Francisco in Brooklyn in Paris. We miss them.

Definitely Thursday: Noel Gallagher "There Is a...
One of the best covers in the Noel Gallagher handbook, here is his version of The Smiths classic “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out” that he played at the Teenage Cancer Trust benefit. It is just a nice version where Noel sounds like he cares that he is playing one of his own teenage influenced tracks. He does Morrissey and the Smiths justice.

Like Anne Coulter announcing that radiation is actually good for you. What’s more magical is Fox News continual instilling of this sort of bull crap into society in the form of “journalism” so that the essential information gets lost and we will never be able to have a clear discussion about any of this.

We have been at the point for a long time where Dan Snaith of Manitoba/Caribou is one of the most interesting songwriters in our little world of music fandom. “Hendrix with Ko” was a track we first heard in 2003 off of Manitoba’s Up In Flames album, and when the Beta Band were on their way out, Snaith and Co were filling that experimental pop for us.
